Ensemble Showcase holds 'Go Pro' course for actors
Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 10:40PM The Ensemble Showcase and Darlo Drama is running a short course to help emerging actors bridge the gap into professional work. After a rigorous audition process, selected actors will rehearse a two-act Australian play with theatre professionals, working towards an industry night performance for casting agents, directors and teachers.
Auditions:
Monday 18th June 6-10pm - Darlinghurst Theatre
Saturday 23rd June 10am-6pm - Darlinghurst Theatre
Callback Date: Wednesday 27th June 6-10pm - Reg Murphy Centre
Rehearsals: Thursdays 6:30 – 9:30pm and Saturdays 10am – 6pm (students are asked to make themselves available on Wednesday evenings should the need arise to add extra rehearsals)
Performances:
Thurs 16 August 8pm – Industry Night
Fri 17 August 8pm
Sat 18 August 8pm
Sun 19 August 5pm – Closing
Tutor: Glenn Hamilton
Cost: $900 (includes headshots, career advice and industry night invitations as well as all course tuition fees)
Where: Darlo Drama, The Rex Centre, Kings Cross. All performances held on The Darlinghurst Theatre Stage.
