UP FOR A CHALLENGE?
Every year Kino Sydney brings you KINO KABARET - the filmmaking marathon!
There are three filmmaking sessions from Wednesday 25th - Sunday 30th October 2011!
Within each session actors and filmmakers come together to create short films over a 32 hour period!
Participants are equipped with all the equipment and contacts they need to make their films. Cameras, lighting kits, green screen access and editing labs will all be available for teams.
Over the 32 hours, groups work furiously to create short films that are screened at parties straight after the event!
People from all areas and experience come together to collaborate. There are no pre-requisites to take part, Kino Kabaret is open to everyone! You don't need to arrive with a team. On day 1 of each session, a pre-production meeting is held where participants workshop their ideas and team up with others.
Some fabulous films have come out of Kino Kabaret! A great example is Eve Dafaud's film DARK.
Participation fee is just $30 which gives you access to editing labs, cameras, lighting and anything else we can put together for you!
The theme of this years screening parties is The Carnival! So dress up is mandatory.
At the end of the festival you walk away with one or more films that you have created!
This festival can be a great tool for people wanting to meet others within the industry, build on your showreel without the stress of budgets and have an amazing experience along the way.
