AUSTRALIAN MUSEUM TRAILER CHALLENGE

The Australian Museum is launching a major exhibition in June this year: DEEP OCEANS. We’re looking for short films inspired by this theme to screen at Kino. They can be as serious or as quirky as you choose. If the Museum staff like your film, it might event be used as an online trailer for the exhibition (and net you some moolah)!

Tackle the theme head on, or use it as loose inspiration for something wildly imaginative and/or intensely personal.

Length:                                             under 2 minutes

Screening:                                         premiere your film at Kino!

Bonus:                                              If your film is selected by the Australian Museum as an online trailer for the exhibition, you will receive $200 and a special invitation to the VIP launch of the exhibition. Your film will also receive significant exposure through Museum screens and online channels. A perfect way to boost your showreel!

Deliverables:                                     For the kino screening you’ll need a DVD of your film with the usual Kino tag (“Kino Sydney” + screening number) at the end. To be considered by the Museum, you’ll need to provide a high-res .mov file of your film with the relevant Exhibition jpg included at the end (instead of the Kino tag).
